IGCC 2025 Amsterdam Concluded with Great Success

The 16th International Gastric Cancer Congress (IGCC) was successfully held in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, from May 7 to May 10, 2025. The congress was organized under the leadership of Congress President Dr. Henk Hartgrink, Secretary General Dr. Johanna van Sandick, Scientific Committee President Dr. Suzanne Gisbertz, and their dedicated colleagues.
Held under the theme "Expanding Horizons: Innovations in the Field of Gastric Cancer," IGCC 2025 presented a dynamic scientific program featuring cutting-edge research, interactive sessions, and thought-provoking discussions. In addition to the academic content, participants enjoyed vibrant social events including welcome parties and dinners.
The number of registrations is about 950 from 50 countries and regions, and the congress welcomed 768 participants and received 983 abstract submissions from 39 countries—highlighting its global reach and academic significance.
Amsterdam, known for its rich cultural heritage, scenic canals, and iconic windmills, provided a picturesque and welcoming setting for the congress. Attendees and accompanying guests had the opportunity to explore world-renowned attractions such as the Rijksmuseum, the Van Gogh Museum, and the Anne Frank House. The city's bike-friendly infrastructure and inclusive atmosphere added to the overall enjoyable experience.
